A two-day gathering titled Grafters X Change: Branches and Networks brought together ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ and local community members, eco-artists, and activists to foster creative community resiliency.

The Mat transforms the flexible, open space of Parker Commons into a vibrant venue where student and professional artists come together to perform music for the community.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ has fulfilled its commitment to achieving carbon neutrality in 2019, its Bicentennial year. The University is now the first institution of higher education in New York State to reduce its net carbon emissions to zero.

Peter Balakian, Donald M. and Constance H. Rebar Professor in humanities and professor of English, has been selected as the 2019 recipient of the Jerome Balmuth Award for Teaching.

The ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ community comes together each year to celebrate sustainability during 13 Days of Green. This ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ tradition, with programs leading up to Earth Day, highlights local and global sustainability challenges and initiatives, and demonstrates what individuals can do to inspire change.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½'s 2019 Queerfest, a week of events destigmatizing queer identities and educated allies, exploring pleasure in a non-heteronormative way, and supporting queer artists, took place in March.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ students, faculty, and staff, packed Olin Hall on March 27 to hear architect Daniel Libeskind speak on design philosophy and his most famous projects.
